About
The future used to look very different. Early modernism was full of optimism. There was a belief that simple forms and new ideas could make objects better and maybe make life better too. Blanche began with that spirit. It draws from the Bauhaus and from Paul Renner's experiments with geometric typography. The letters start with circles and clean structures but they never become completely mathematical. There is warmth and play inside the system. Blanche isn't interested in recreating the past. It's interested in something more useful from it. The feeling that a few simple shapes can still make something feel completely new.
